History

1946

OLIVOTTO company was founded in 1946 by Dott. Olivotto as supplier of spare parts and services to machines for the production of glass bulbs in Italy. Few years later Olivotto company began the manufacturing of its first rotary-type glass blowing machine for lighting wares production. From that time on, Olivotto’s history as a machinery manufacturer began.

2000

OLIVOTTO was acquired by a new property. An important innovation phase took place during the next years: the company shifted its focus from “heavy manu- facturing” to “engineering, assembling and commissioning”.

2003

OLIVOTTO acquired the glass branch of Antas (Italy), a company with long-standing traditions and experience in the service of the hollow glass industry.

2007

OLIVOTTO acquired the assets of Lynch Systems (USA), a corporation founded in 1914 and one of the world’s oldest manufacturers of hollow glass forming ma- chines. On the same year we established company Olimerk Makina. A sister com-
pany, part of Hollow Glass division, dedicated to production services, design and marketing of molds and production equipments.

2008

OLIVOTTO acquired the assets of Lindner Maschinen (Germany) a very well known company with large experience in high quality production machines in all types of glass (lead crystal, soda-lime, borosilicate). As a result, Olivotto, Antas, Lynch Systems and Lindner Maschinen, leaders in their respective market sectors, have joined forces within OLIVOTTO GLASS TECHNOLOGIES to become the benchmark in the international scenario of hollow glass manufacturing plants, systems and machines.

2014

Since early 2014, Olivotto Glass Technologies (OGT) has been active in the min- eral wools field, supplying complete manufacturing plants for glass and rock wool production lines. This was possible thanks to a technological agreement of cooperation with an Italian engineering company with long experience in designing machines and equipment for the mineral wools industry (Glass and Rock wools).

2018

Olivotto Glass Technologies S.p.A. (OGT) joins an important strategic industrial platform represented by the CNBM group.
OGT is a technology-driven company that has maintained its all-Italian identity, with constant focus on research and competitiveness by leveraging on continuous technological innovation.

2023

OGT, thanks to its corporate platform and the acquisition of personnel with very long experience in this specific sector, has created the ENGINEERING Business Unit. OGT now becomes a Project Integrator for CNBM in Europe, Africa, ME & The Americas.
